'Tulsa King' Renewed for Season 5, Shifts Filming to NY

Sylvester Stallone — 'Tulsa King' Renewed for Season 5, Shifts Filming to NY

Paramount+ has renewed "Tulsa King" for a fifth season, with production relocating from Georgia to New York to align with the show's upcoming storyline. The renewal was announced ahead of the Season 4 premiere, set for Oct. 16.

Scarlet Rose Stallone, daughter of star Sylvester Stallone, has been promoted to series regular after playing Spencer across all four previous seasons. Joining the cast as series regulars for the new season are Erik Palladino ("I Play Rocky"), Glenn Fleshler ("Billions"), Anthony Skordi ("The Last Frontier") and Nickola Shreli ("Power Book IV: Force").

Variety reported in June that a writers' room for a potential fifth season had already opened, with plans in place to shift the production to New York. The move ties directly into the narrative: Stallone's character, Dwight "The General" Manfredi, hails from New York before being exiled by his mob associates to Tulsa, and Season 5 will chart his return to his mafia roots.

The relocation is also a financial decision. Recent enhancements to New York's state tax incentive have turned it into one of the most affordable destinations for film and television production worldwide, drawing a growing number of projects to the state.

"We're excited to welcome the cast and crew of 'Tulsa King' to New York State for its fifth season," said Hope Knight, CEO and commissioner of Empire State Development. "Under Governor Hochul's leadership, New York has built an unmatched home for film and television — world-class talent, iconic locations, and a Film Tax Credit Program that delivers real jobs and investment for New Yorkers. 'Tulsa King' represents the latest in a growing list of projects proudly filmed in New York."

Drew Brown, EVP of physical production at Paramount TV, added: "We are thrilled to bring fans even more of this incredible series, and to be shooting the next season of 'Tulsa King' in New York, where Dwight Manfredi's story will continue to evolve. We're proud of the work we've done in Georgia, and it remains an important venue for us."

Beyond Stallone, Season 4 of "Tulsa King" stars Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Mike "Cash Flo" Walden, James Russo, Kevin Pollak, Neal McDonough, Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany. Gretchen Mol also joins the cast as a series regular for the upcoming season.

Terence Winter serves as head writer on the series and executive produces alongside Taylor Sheridan, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Thomas Kelly and Keith Cox. "Tulsa King" is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
