ABC and Dick Clark Productions announced Wednesday that "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2027" will simulcast on Disney+ for the first time this year, in addition to its traditional live broadcast on ABC.
Ryan Seacrest returns as host, once again joined by singer and "The Masked Singer" panelist Rita Ora as co-host from Times Square in New York. Julianne Hough and Rob Gronkowski are also back, contributing pre-taped performances from Las Vegas, while comedian and creator Druski joins the lineup from Chicago.
The announcement follows a record-setting run for the franchise. The 2026 edition expanded to eight hours, making it the longest telecast in the show's more than 50-year history. That broadcast featured 42 performers and four live countdown celebrations, with segments broadcast from Times Square, Las Vegas, Chicago, Puerto Rico, Nashville and Kansas City.
Performers featured in the 2026 telecast included Diana Ross in Times Square, along with 4 Non Blondes, 50 Cent, AJR, The All-American Rejects, BigXthaPlug, Chance the Rapper, Chappell Roan, Charlie Puth, Ciara, Daddy Yankee, Demi Lovato, DJ Cassidy's "Pass The Mic Live!" segment with Busta Rhymes, T.I. and Wyclef Jean, Goo Goo Dolls, Jess Glynne, Jessie Murph, Jordan Davis, Le Sserafim, Leon Thomas, Little Big Town, Madison Beer, Maren Morris, Mariah Carey, New Kids on the Block, OneRepublic, Pitbull, Post Malone, Rick Springfield, Russell Dickerson, Tucker Wetmore, Zara Larsson and others.
The special delivered its best ratings in four years. According to live+3 day numbers, 30.01 million viewers were tuned in at the midnight moment when 2025 turned into 2026. Across the key 11:30 p.m. ET to 12:28 a.m. ET window, average viewership reached 19.606 million, with a 5.00 rating among adults 18-49.
The broadcast was also simulcast on iHeartRadio, reaching 2 million listeners across nearly 150 stations — a 9% increase from the previous year.
"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2027" is produced by Dick Clark Productions, with Ryan Seacrest, Michael Dempsey, Jay Penske and Barry Adelman serving as executive producers. Variety parent company PMC owns Dick Clark Productions in a joint venture with Eldridge.
