"Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story" claimed the No. 1 spot on Netflix's Top 10 chart following its debut last week, pulling in 12.2 million views during its first four days on the platform.
That performance places the latest installment of Ryan Murphy's "Monster" anthology in line with its two most recent predecessors. "The Ed Gein Story" opened with an identical 12.2 million views when it premiered in 2025, while "The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story" debuted with 12.3 million views in 2024.
The franchise's original entry, "The Jeffrey Dahmer Story," still holds the crown as the biggest opener in the series. It premiered in 2022, before Netflix began ranking titles by views, and racked up 196.2 million hours watched in its first four days — a figure that translates to roughly 22.3 million views. That debut has helped keep "The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" as Netflix's No. 7 most popular English-language TV series of all time.
Across all of its seasons, the "Monster" anthology has now amassed nearly 170 million views total, according to Netflix.
