Shea Whigham, Jamie Chung, Bobby Soto, Alejandro Speitzer, Michael Raymond-James and Thad Luckinbill have joined the cast of Copperhead, adding to a roster that already includes Miles Teller, Leila George, Jason Momoa, Tenoch Huerta, Adria Arjona and Kiefer Sutherland.
The crime thriller is directed by John Swab from a screenplay by Chad Feehan and J. Todd Scott. The story follows an undercover drug deal that spirals into violence, pushing a veteran detective to partner with a young federal agent as they work to expose a conspiracy hidden within their own elite task force.
Copperhead is financed by Black Label Media, which is producing the project alongside Teller's Lime Tree Productions and Swab's Milk Boy. CAA Media Finance and WME Independent are handling US rights to the film, while Black Bear is managing international sales.
On the representation side, Whigham is repped by WME and Range Media Partners. Chung is represented by Gersh, 3 Arts Entertainment and Morris Yorn Barnes. Soto is repped by Innovative Artists and Anonymous Content, while Speitzer is represented by COLOüRS Talent. Raymond-James is repped by Gersh, Principal Entertainment LA and Peikoff Mahan.
