More than 300 props, costumes and set decoration pieces from Blade Runner 2049 are heading to auction, with entertainment memorabilia house Propstore running the sale in association with Alcon Entertainment. Billed as Blade Runner 2049: The Final Online Auction, the event runs through Oct. 14, with registration already open through the auction link.
Among the standout lots is Rick Deckard's stunt LAPD 2019 PKD detective special blaster, the weapon carried by Harrison Ford in the role he reprised from Ridley Scott's original 1982 film, expected to fetch around $15,000. Also on the block is the complete costume worn by Ryan Gosling as Officer K, including his signature coat, screen-matched to his fight with Sapper Morton, played by Dave Bautista, at Sapper's farm; bidding opens at $20,000.
Other notable items include Dr. Ana's animatronic memory orb, portrayed by Carla Juri, with bidding starting at $35,000, and the main blaster used by Sylvia Hoeks' character Luv, valued around $8,000. The turtleneck and clear yellow jacket worn by Ana de Armas as Joi carry an estimated value of roughly $5,000.
Anyone who registers for the auction is automatically entered into a free drawing for K's black production sweater from the film, with contest rules posted alongside the sale. Five percent of the total hammer price will be donated to CORE, the humanitarian organization founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee.
Denis Villeneuve directed Blade Runner 2049, which also starred Robin Wright and Jared Leto alongside Ford, Gosling, de Armas, Hoeks, Juri and Bautista. Warner Bros. released the film theatrically in October 2017. It grossed $259 million globally, underperforming at the box office despite strong critical reception, and earned five Oscar nominations, winning for best cinematography and visual effects.
The franchise, based on Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, continues to expand with Amazon's Prime Video series Blade Runner 2099, premiering Nov. 25 and starring Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer.
