"Serendipity" actor Kate Beckinsale worried fans early Sunday morning after posting a pair of cryptic messages to her Instagram story before deleting them shortly after.
The first post showed a black screen with the word "bye" written across it. It was followed by a second image of a rainbow captioned "congratulations you won i give up." Both posts were removed, though not before concerned fans reposted screenshots on X. As of now, Beckinsale's Instagram account shows no posts.
Reps for Beckinsale did not immediately respond to Variety's request for comment.
This isn't the first time the actress has used social media to speak candidly about her struggles. In a since-deleted Instagram video posted earlier in September, Beckinsale addressed people who carry invisible trauma, saying that those who have "seen or experienced levels of horror, terror, violence" don't "just dream about incessantly, so there's no rest. They see it when they blink. Every time they close their eyes for a second and those people aren't recognized as heroes."
She went on to urge compassion toward others facing unseen struggles. "Given the fact that it's invisible and you can't know, maybe err on being on the gentler side with people, being kinder with people," she said. "It really is true that if you haven't walked a mile in someone's shoes — however fancy you feel the shoes are — you have absolutely no idea what they may be carrying or masking or dealing with day and night."
Beckinsale has been open about her grief since her mother, Judy Loe, died in July 2025 following a battle with stage IV cancer. According to People, she has also shared on Instagram dozens of negative comments directed at her appearance that she received while grieving.
