Barry Manilow — Barry Manilow Cancels Vegas Show After Bronchitis Hits

Barry Manilow has canceled his Saturday show at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, just two days after making his long-awaited return to the stage.

"After a triumphant welcome-back concert on Thursday, Barry got hit with bronchitis and had to cancel his Friday and Saturday shows," a representative for the musician told Variety. The announcement followed earlier reports that Manilow had ended his Friday performance early.

Thursday's concert marked the "Copacabana" singer's first time onstage in six weeks, following his previous show on Aug. 22. Manilow has been recovering from lung cancer, a diagnosis he revealed publicly in December 2025. His illness was first discovered when he underwent an MRI while being treated for bronchitis.

The Westgate Las Vegas residency has faced repeated delays amid his recovery. It was originally scheduled to begin in February but was pushed to March following his surgery. In May, Manilow shared an update on X, writing that his doctor told him he was "making great progress" but that he wasn't "quite ready" to perform, forcing another postponement of the Las Vegas dates.

"Good news! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I'm making great progress and look great," Manilow wrote. "Well of course I do! Thank you very much! All the training and exercising I've put in is paying off. He did say, however, that I'm not quite ready for Vegas. That means I won't be able to return for our May shows at [Westgate Las Vegas]. But the good news is he said I will be ready for my June arena shows in the UK. It's going to be great to see you all in the UK. Westgate Las Vegas is my home away from home…and I'll see you all in July. In the meantime…come to the UK! We'll be there in June and hope you will be too! See you then… Barry."
