'Bleed the Night': Vampire Thriller Set in 1994 in Works

A new vampire thriller titled Bleed the Night is in development, centered on a lonely teenager who answers a mysterious ad reading "MUST LOVE BLOOD" and crosses paths with a charismatic young vampire. That encounter, which promises her the friendship and freedom she's always wanted, spirals into a bloody crime spree over the course of one summer night in 1994 — testing just how far she's willing to go for her first real friend.

Mark Ankner is producing the project for Mountain Top Pictures, the banner behind Ponyboi and Slanted, alongside Adam Goldworm through his Aperture company, which also has Horrorstör and Hannibal on its upcoming slate. Justin Dyck is attached as executive producer. While nothing is confirmed yet, the team is said to be actively meeting with directors with an eye toward beginning production in the first quarter of 2027.

Keith Cooper and Dyck arrive at Bleed the Night fresh off their collaboration on the 2020 horror film Anything for Jackson, which Cooper wrote and Dyck directed, with the pair jointly producing. They're also behind QC Entertainment's forthcoming horror-thriller Casket Girls, starring Gabrielle Union, again with Cooper writing and Dyck directing. Dyck's directing credits additionally include work on Shudder's Creepshow.

Cooper and Dyck are represented by WME, Aperture and Ashley Silver at Brecheen Feldman Breimer. Zoe Cooper is represented by WME, Gotham Group and Stuart Rosenthal at Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
