Kristen Bell Set to Return as Host of The Actor Awards — Streaming Live on Netflix This March

Kristen Bell is officially returning to helm one of Hollywood’s most anticipated award nights. The “Nobody Wants This” star has been tapped once again to host The Actor Awards, the revamped version of the former SAG Awards, marking her third time leading the ceremony.

The 32nd Annual Actor Awards, presented by SAG‑AFTRA, will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, and will stream live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

🎤 A Host Who Keeps Audiences Entertained

Bell, who first hosted this event in 2018 and returned in 2025, said the decision to come back was easy. “I’ve enjoyed hosting every time,” she shared, adding that she’s particularly excited to bring music and performance energy to the stage — something she jokingly called a skill all actors share.

Executive producer and showrunner Jon Brockett praised Bell’s return, describing her as “a beloved part of this community” who can balance humor with heart, making her a perfect fit to guide the night’s celebrations.

🌟 Big Competition and Top Nominees

The Actor Awards — which honor outstanding performances in film and television — has already revealed its 2026 nominations. The film “One Battle After Another” leads the pack with an impressive seven nods, including a contender for Outstanding Ensemble. Other notable nominations include titles such as “Sinners,” “Hamnet,” and “Marty Supreme.”

Bell herself received a nomination at last year’s ceremony in the Female Actor in a Comedy Series category, though she won’t be nominated this year. However, her “Nobody Wants This” co‑star Adam Brody does appear on the list of contenders in the male comedy acting category.

🏆 A Ceremony with a Fresh Identity

This year’s show marks the first time the annual celebration is officially titled The Actor Awards, a rebrand from the long‑standing SAG Awards. SAG‑AFTRA chose the updated name to more closely mirror the statuette’s title and the event’s core focus on honoring actors by actors.
