Fans of indie-folk mainstay Iron & Wine have more opportunities to catch the project live in 2026. Sam Beam — the singer-songwriter behind the long-running moniker — has broadened his touring schedule into the fall, extending an already busy year built around the release of his upcoming album Hen’s Teeth.
The new run of concerts pushes performances into October, adding stops across the western and southern United States. Cities including Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Atlanta are now part of the itinerary, with additional appearances throughout the region. Selected shows will feature support from Ken Pomeroy and DUG, offering audiences a multi-artist lineup alongside Beam’s headline sets.
A Companion Album With Deep Roots
Hen’s Teeth, set to arrive February 27, 2026 via Sub Pop, marks the eighth studio album from Iron & Wine and follows 2024’s Light Verse. The record grew out of the same creative period and sessions, effectively functioning as a companion piece shaped by overlapping collaborators and studio environments.
Beam has described the album’s title as evoking rarity or impossibility — reflecting the unexpected nature of the songs themselves — and the project was assembled over several years alongside engineer Dave Way and a wide circle of musicians. Among those contributing are David Garza, Sebastian Steinberg, Tyler Chester, Griffin Goldsmith, Beth Goodfellow, Kyle Crane, and Paul Cartwright, as well as Beam’s daughter Arden, whose vocal work adds a personal dimension to the recordings.
Americana trio I’m With Her also appears on select tracks, bringing layered harmonies that highlight the album’s collaborative spirit.
Stylistically, the material continues the introspective folk songwriting associated with Iron & Wine while branching into richer textures influenced by folk-rock, jazz-tinged arrangements, and atmospheric instrumentation. Lead single “In Your Ocean” previews this tone, exploring themes of closeness and emotional immersion through understated production and reflective lyricism.
A Global Tour Supporting the Release
To support the album, Beam launched a global touring cycle beginning in Australasia before heading across North America, with further performances confirmed later in the year. The fall extension ensures the momentum continues beyond the initial spring dates, giving audiences additional chances to experience the evolving live interpretations of the new material.
